AquaPro Reef Nitrogen provides a controlled inorganic nitrogen source for reef aquariums. Nitrogen is required for amino-acid and protein synthesis and supports the growth and metabolic activity of corals, zooxanthellae, and macroalgae.
In systems where available nitrogen is too low, controlled supplementation can help maintain coral growth and coloration without simultaneously adding phosphate or dissolved organic carbon.
Target nutrient levels vary by aquarium. Monitor nitrate and phosphate regularly and maintain an appropriate nitrogen-to-phosphorus balance, using AquaPro Reef Phosphorus where required.
