Description

  • Increases carbonate alkalinity (KH)
  • Highly concentrated
  • Formulated with a blend of carbonate and bicarbonate salts

AquaPro Reef Carbonate is a concentrated blend of carbonate and bicarbonate salts specifically designed to restore and maintain alkalinity in the reef aquarium.
Calcium and carbonates are vital for coral growth; if either becomes deficient, coral growth will halt, followed by a rapid decline in coral health. To prevent this, both carbonates (AquaPro Reef Carbonate) and calcium (AquaPro Liquid Reef Calcium or AquaPro Reef Calcium) must be provided.
AquaPro Reef Carbonate uses a unique blend of carbonate and bicarbonate salts. This formulation results in AquaPro Reef Carbonate having a pK of around 9.0 in saltwater. In a closed reef system, the organic compounds produced by reef inhabitants tend to lower pH, but the higher pK of AquaPro Reef Carbonate helps stabilize the pH at around 8.3-8.4.
When used as directed, AquaPro Reef Carbonate will not deplete calcium, magnesium, or strontium, which can typically precipitate as alkalinity increases.

Direction:

Shake before use.

Dose 5ml per 80 Liters of water twice a week. For best results, dilute in a cup of freshwater before adding.

Check alkalinity every two weeks and adjust the dosage or frequency as needed.

Available size: 100ml, 250ml, 500ml, 2Liters, 5Liters, 20Liters
