AquaPro Metrocite is a metronidazole-based medication formulated for susceptible protozoan parasites and anaerobic bacterial infections in ornamental fish. It may be used for conditions associated with organisms such as Hexamita and certain susceptible protozoan infections in freshwater or marine systems.
The medication can be used in the water for external exposure or incorporated into medicated food when oral administration is appropriate for internal infections.
Biological filtration should be monitored during treatment, and the product can be removed after treatment using suitable chemical filtration such as activated carbon.
