Reef tank inhabitants require calcium for the formation of their skeletons and shells, and they consume enormous amounts of calcium and carbonate hardness from the water, which must be replenished.
AquaPro Kalkwasser is a highly purified type of calcium hydroxide that dissolves in water to produce Kalkwasser, a solution that combines with calcium, carbonate, and bicarbonate ions in the aquarium. Depending on demand, the fresh solution can be used to replace part or all of the daily evaporated water in your aquarium, while also raising the pH level.
Direction:
DO NOT add this product directly to the tank. Dissolve 3g in 4L of water. Drip this solution into the tank.
Monitor pH and carbonate alkalinity. Adjust the rate of addition to maintain a stable pH (8.3-8.4). Adding 4L of a saturated kalkwasser solution to 150L will raise calcium by 24 mg/L.
