AquaPro Alkalinity Buffer is formulated to raise pH and carbonate alkalinity (KH) in freshwater aquariums. It is especially useful in planted systems and hard-water aquariums where phosphate-based buffers may contribute to unwanted algae growth or cloudiness.
Maintaining adequate carbonate hardness helps stabilize pH and supports biological filtration. The phosphate-free formula provides a controlled way to increase buffering capacity without adding phosphate.
